Terms of Service

By accessing or using SpeakMom, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Service Description

SpeakMom provides AI-powered spoken language practice through scenario-based conversations, pronunciation feedback, and progress tracking. The service is available via web browser at speak.mom.

2. Account Registration

  • You must sign in using a valid Google or Microsoft account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use SpeakMom.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

SpeakMom offers Free, Pro, and Enterprise plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: Annual subscriptions are eligible for a prorated refund within 14 days of purchase.
  • Plan changes: Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.

4. Your Content

Your learning data (conversation history, pronunciation recordings, scores) belongs to you. We process it solely to provide and improve the service. You may export or delete your data at any time from your account settings.

5. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service.
  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

SpeakMom is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or language proficiency improvements.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeakMom's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
